Forest Rights Act (FRA): A Case Study on Payvihir, Maharashtra

The Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies (RGICS) conducted a nation wide study in 2021 on the implementation of the Forest Rights Act in various states. In the process, we came across some very interesting case studies on FRA. This is a case study of Payvihir village which is situated in Achalpur block of Amravati district Maharashtra. Inhabited primarily by the members of the korku tribes.
