RGICS seeks applications for the following positions:

 1.     Fellows (Positions-2 )(1 for Economics &  1 for Political Science) – Responsible for leading and managing RGICS programmes (such as research projects, policy briefs, seminars, publication related work), knowledge creation & sharing, event management, establishing and managing partnerships, resource mobilization, communication and outreach.

Skills/ Competencies Required PhD with 8-10 years of experience in research, strategy, policy or programme development. The candidates should possess excellent research, analytical and management skills, excellent communication (written & spoken) and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in academic, think tank or other comparable institutions is highly desirable. Papers and publications demonstrating knowledge and expertise are required.

 2.      Associate Fellow: (Positions-1),( Political Science) Responsible for  independent production of research, analyses, data and advice of high academic quality  (including products such as policy briefs and analyses) that will contribute to academic and public discourse on public policy and may be used by political representatives and peoples’ struggles to more effectively represent the people in public policy decision making; leading and managing academic events; overseeing publications, , knowledge creation & sharing; establishing and managing partnerships, resource mobilization, communication and outreach.  

 Skills/ Competencies RequiredPhD in Political Science with 5 years of work experience in research relevant to the areas of RGICS work and other experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above; Strong grounding and interest in theory; Strong leadership skills, capacity to initiate and develop work programmes, innovative and creative; solution oriented. Candidates should possess excellent English language communication skills (written & spoken) and interpersonal skills. Requisite knowledge of relevant computer programmes is also required. Prior experience in academic or research institutions is highly desirable. Papers, publications or other work products demonstrating knowledge and expertise are required.

 3.      Research/ Senior Research Associate (Positions-3, Economics, Social, Political Science) Responsible to assist RGICS in research and analysis, preparation of strategy papers, briefings, data collection, event management, etc.

 Skills/ Competencies Required: Post Graduate with at least 2 years of relevant experience, excellent research and analytical skills, excellent communication (written & spoken) and interpersonal skills, with good computer knowledge.

 Location: The positions will be based in New Delhi.

2. Apply for the Rajiv Gandhi-Research Assistant to Legislators (RG-RALs) Programme

We are looking for outstanding young people who are interested in working on the intersect between policy, development, public administration, governance and politics with a special focus on Economics.

Applications are invited for the on-going one-year, full time RG-RAL's programme. 

Eligibility: Graduates/Post Graduates with a specialisation in Economics. Age - Maximum - 25 years, 28 years for SC/ST Candidates

3. Internships

RGICS welcomes young students who are committed to making a difference in the public policy decision making process and who wish to contribute their time, skills and knowledge to our ongoing research activities.

Eligibility: Students pursuing Graduation (2nd or 3rd year) or Post-Graduation.

The internships are full-time, for a period of at least 2 months where the students will work on a specific project/assignment.
